Julie Reiter, J.D.
Julie attended Kearney State College as an undergraduate. She graduated with honors in 1988, receiving her Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with a minor in Psychology. She went on to attend the prestigious Mitchell Hamline School of Law in St. Paul, Minnesota.
While there, Julie was chosen as the Law Review Editor and won the award for “Best Brief” at the National Moot Court Competition in Chicago. She also was a member of her universities’ team that placed third overall at this same competition. In 1991, she graduated cum laude from Hamline in the top ten percent of her class.
Over the years, Julie has participated as an active member of the American Bar Association, Nebraska Bar Association, and National Association of Trial Attorneys. She was also elected president of the Fifth Judicial District Bar Association President in 1997.
Julie has devoted twenty-four years of her twenty-seven-year career as an attorney to the Mills and Reiter Law Office, focusing on Estate Planning, Probate, Wills, Trusts, Estate Litigation, Real Estate, Contracts, and General Litigation. In addition to her work at M&R, she is also the elected County Attorney for Butler County, representing the county in all civil issues involving real estate, roads, as well as prosecution of felonies, which has enhanced her trial experience.
Julie lives with her husband and seven children, who range in age from thirteen to twenty-two, keeping her very busy. Julie loves being active in her spare time, whether that be biking, jogging, or lifting weights. She also enjoys cooking and reading.
